Mountain Auto Care

I recently moved to Durango and was wondering where I was going to take my C5 corvette. I was reluctant to take it to Chevrolet, and it turns out they no longer repair 'their own vehicles' that are 10 years or older. Fine by me since Corvettes may as well be made by a different company. Anyway, through a series of phone calls, I was referred to Mountain Auto Care.
From the moment I spoke to Don on the phone, and later Ed, I was very pleased with their knowledge, professionalism, and honesty. They were polite and listened to what I had to say concerning why I was bringing the car in, and understood where to look for problems.
They also kept me informed about the progress and made recommendations. Plus, they got the work done in a reasonable amount of time and their pricing is fair.
Also, they went out of their way to pick me up and bring me back when I ended up having to get additional parts and bring the car back in a week later. This was very kind of them considering how busy they are.
Overall, I am grateful to know such auto professionals exist here, and will definitely be bringing my car back the next time it needs service.

These guys really rock! Getting an appointment was very easy and quick. I needed new brakes, and they had the parts and quickly completed installing the brakes in a very timely manner that they estimated. They also did a full-service inspection that was very helpful, there was no pressure. I will be back.

On Vacation and we needed an Oil change before our 12 hour drive home.... Called and Ed answered and was great about getting us in the next morning early and getting us out so we could get on the highway...
Professional and friendly shop... If I lived local I wouldn't go anywhere else.... Plus Ed and one of his Employees are Vets, So again thank you for your service!!

Wife had a wonderful experience for just an oil change!

Thank you for letting us know that the squealing was gravel in our brake pads and not the pads themselves. In and out in 5 minutes and on our way back home to Boulder. Us city folk now know about gravel roads and rocks in your brakes.

It's all about customer service, right? This crew fit us in a day after calling for an oil change. What can you say about an oil change? Not much, but Dan (Dave?) took the time to do a once-over on our honda pilot, just to make sure. We were heading out on the durango train ride early that morning. I dropped the car off with a key and a note with our phone number, and got a call back after the long day that we could come pick it up. Struck up a conversation once we arrived (20 minutes after their closing time) and got the assurance we'd have no trouble with the rest of our trip (back to Iowa) and tips on our next day's travel to mesa verde.

Friendly, courteous, helpful and kind. Again, just an oil change, but customer service is what makes or breaks a place. Mountain Auto repair is tops in my book.

These guys are good mechanics, real good customer service. They deal with NAPA parts so if you are trying to have other parts installed with them be aware.

These guys were a life saver. Our rear brake lights and blinkers malfunctioned on our SUV a day before we were set to drive 1,000 miles home. Ed got us in for a look, found the problem and fixed it in an hour. Great service. Fair price. Kind folks. Highly recommended.

Great work here. The entire staff here is super friendly. Knowledgeable. Will take care of the customer. Don and his crew take care of my entire families cars. Busy so call ASAP.

I got stranded in Durango CO with a coolant leak about half way through a 3300 mile road trip with the family. I have AAA basic coverage and they recommended Mountain Mechanical. These guys were nice enough to fit me in on a late Monday morning. The longest part of the fix was waiting on a part from the Chrysler dealer ship (took over 3 hours to get to Mountain). Don't know why chrysler could not get the part there quicker, but Mountain fixed my vehicle within ~1 hour after receiving the part and I was on my way. Great service and friendly.

Here's another tip. Don't buy chrysler products.
On a 2010 caravan (~96,000 miles), I've already had to replace:
-4 wheel bearings (back wheel bearings went at ~70k miles)
-brake calipers on all 4 wheels.
-coolant hose ("Y" section failed).
