I cannot say thank you enough. An engine warning light came on not from from Durango... and Im a long way from home traveling through. Durango premier not only accommodated me... they welcomed me. Same day, quick review, clear feedback and advice, kind hospitality to me, a friend and my dog. I'm grateful and believe all should know what a trustworthy and gracious company this is.

Charged me 565.00 to fix a failed battery and change an out taillight. Went in for new battery and out headlight. Only changed the easy to reach driving light and not main headlight that is hard to reach. Didn't reset alarm code, probably because it was still unfixed. 68$ to jumpstart car to diagnose. FRAUD. After speaking with other mechanics, they were applauded that a shop would charge for jumpstarts during non - start vehicles. They added that they see frequent re-repairs from customers who have had work done @Durangopremiumcarcare DURANGO PREMIUM CAR CAR. Formerly known as DURANGO SMALL CAR. BE WARNED IT IS NOT THE SAME BUSINESS ANYMORE INTEGRITY LEFT WITH PREVIOUS OWNERS

We are sorry that you had a bad experience with our shop on your last visit. We checked into your invoice and found a bug in our pricing system which priced the battery higher than it should have been, and we simply missed it in reviewing your invoice. This was unintentional and we are very sorry for your inconvenience. We have corrected the error so that it won't happen again. We have also attempted to contact you several times to refund your money but have yet to hear from you. Please contact us so we can get this resolved.
As for the remainder of your claims, allow us to clarify our invoice notes. We did not charge you to jump start your vehicle. You came to us claiming that you had to jumpstart the vehicle twice and requested we diagnose the cause. The note on the invoice is your concern as you described it to us. Below that line are the notes on the electrical diagnosis and testing time for which you were charged. You also requested we check the cause of the light out messages you were receiving. We found the causes to be a failed headlight, failed daytime running light and failed brakelight; and provided you estimates to repair all 3. You approved the brake light and daytime running light repairs, but declined the headlight repair. You were charged a fair price to diagnose the no-start issue and lights; replace the two bulbs and replace the battery.
The battery was overpriced and that was an honest mistake on our part for which we are very sorry. If you would contact us, we would be happy to refund that difference. But your claims of fraud are entirely false as we go above and beyond to give our customers honesty, integrity and quality service that we stand behind 100%. You are welcome to read our numerous reviews on both Google and our website from customers who know this to be true. - Brian L. M.Panama City, FL01Nov 6, 2017
Very helpful and honest!
I was getting ready to go out of town and a check engine light came on. I was scared to drive the 6 hours without having it checked and they were nice enough to squeeze me in and check it for me before me getting on the road. Saved me a lot of headache. They were up front and told me there was nothing major and didn't try to milk me for a large service bill!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - L C.Los Angeles, CA1903613Aug 18, 2016
I've given these guys a few chances and I have found that they cost more money than they're worth. If you know exactly what your car needs then they'll probably be able to fix it. If you want them to trouble shoot, find a problem and fix it you'll be out of luck. Oh, and even if they don't fix the problem the labor bill will be high.

Would not recommend. I had a them perform a pre purchase inspection on a VW van I purchased. They missed some obvious things and did not scan for diagnosis trouble codes, which in turn has cost me alot of money.

Louis-
First, I would like to apologize for not responding to this review sooner as I had a lot of research to do prior given that we do not show you as a customer of ours. What I have come to understand is that you purchased a vehicle from a long-time customer of ours, and the two of you have had some issues with the sale, and the vehicle. I have gone thru the invoice for the pre-purchase inspection that was done under our customers name, and not yours, and in speaking to the customer here is what I have found. The first portion regarding the "obvious things" we missed is somewhat confusing as our report clearly shows the problems with the vehicle, i.e missing heater core, doors and locks that don't work, the list goes on. I know that the previous owner of the car also included the receipts from the repairs that he had done with us prior to selling you the vehicle. As for the diagnostic scan, that is a job in and of itself, and is not included in any pre-purchase as our techs are required to spend a minimum of one hour on the computer solving the vehicles issues, and given that the owner was only charged for 1hr of work on the PPI its safe to say that it's not something included in a PPI. Furthermore my technician noted that the check engine light was not illuminated in the car, and without having the light on and the proper go-ahead from the customer we would never spend someones money without their OK. After speaking with the customer who sold you the car it has come to my attention that the wires for the CEL had been cut by the owner before him. This is illegal, and if it were noticed we would have mentioned it and moved further with a repair. I spoke with the tech regarding this miss, and he said the the ECM for the vehicle in not in a place that would be accessed during any PPI, and would only be noticed if the ECM were to be removed from the vehicle. We do not enjoy removing ECM's unless absolutely necessary due to the risk of damage. I am sorry that the vehicle has not been what you expected, but we were not the seller, and what happened outside of our shop is out of our control. We conduct PPI's for every dealership in town, and have never had a complaint. I am sorry that we failed to meet your expectations. Our customers and their satisfaction is very important to us, and you are as well. If there is anything that we can do to alleviate your issues please contact Tyler by calling the shop- - Martha R.Laguna Hills, CA161Aug 19, 2014First to Review

After extending my stay in Durango I realized my Audi needed servicing. Durango Small Car not only serviced my vehicle, but they were super helpful with preventive maintenance tips. Their honesty and service is a rarity to find. I would most definitely use Durango Small Car again!

There is still gold to be found in Colorado and these guys are an automotive gold strike. While on an extended driving tour of Colorado with my daughter, the dreaded "Check Engine Soon" came on the dash of our 7 Series BMW. The engine had begun to run very rough and was missing badly at idle and low speeds. A frantic search of the local auto dealerships, shops and garages finally yielded Durango Small Car (they were also recommended by a local competitor) via YELP*. From the first call to Service Manager Jim, to the help from the Owner Tyler to the hands-on-work of Mechanic Doug the entire experience was first class and totally professional. The problem was quickly diagnosed (they put us at the front of a busy schedule because of our travel schedule, the urgency of timing (it was on Friday and they are not open on weekends) and because they understood our distress), a wide ranging parts search was made and the part was fortunately found locally. While all of this was going on, Tyler allowed us to use the in-house Wi-Fi system to explore the possibility of rental cars and conduct other business related matters.
We were given several options as to how deeply into the repair protocol we wanted to go with appropriate pricing for each. All this was done in an open and straight forward professional manner.
During the process Tyler and Jim kept us informed as to the progress and even recommended an excellent nearby café. We had lunch there and when we returned the car was fixed and ready to go. The charges for the work were fair and very reasonable.
Within 3.5 hours of our arrival at their shop, we were back on the road and rolling along just fine.
I have driven a total of 3,467 miles since the repair with absolutely no problems. Upon my return home, I had my regular mechanic inspect the car and the repairs. He agrees 100% that what was done was exactly correct and proper. He has worked on all my cars for over 8 years and I trust him implicitly (as I now do Durango Small Car).
These guys are straight shooters and this is a well run, well managed and profitable enterprise. That is the bottom line. I would add an extra star if I could.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Danica D.Durango, CO01Nov 4, 2015
Durango Small Car is excellent! They've serviced our cars since 1997 and we have nothing but praise for them. They have been kind and considerate, thorough and trustworthy. They make us aware of actual car needs but don't push for action on fixing that which can wait. We're thankful.
